Edwalton Heritage Project |
 The Heritage Project which was supported by a Grant of £9000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund came to an end in October 2009.
This Award enabled the archives of the Society- documents, photographs and other images and real memories- to be built on and made accessible to the community, its organisations and particularly its young people, and to a wider audience.
Full use of electronic storage and retrieval has made it possible for the wealth of material to be shared; part of this aim was the creation of this website and the Edwalton Heritage Website- www.heritage-edwalton.co.uk alongside it….see Links
A second book The Life of a Village about the lives of the people of the village in the last 150 years or so wwas published and launched early in 2009; the book is selling and can be bought at Edwalton Post Office for £10.00.Copies are still available.
The Heritage Project was led by John Hall supported by a Project Team.In our final report to Heritage Lottery,we reported a very successful conclusion to the Project in particular the Heritage Exhibition in October in the Church Hall attended by nearly two hundred visitors. John’s contact is email:
